The authors study the inverse problem of finding the functions \(u(x,t)\) and \(q(t)\) satisfying \(u_t=u_{xx}\), \(0<x<s(t)\), \(0<t \leq T\); \(u(x,0)=\phi(x)\), \(0<x \leq x_1=s(0)\); \(u_x(0,t)=q(t)\); \(u_x(s(t),t)=g_1(t)\); \(u(s(t),t)=g_2(t)\) \((0 \leq t \leq T)\). The problem is reduced to a Volterra integral equation of the first kind.
