A boundary value problem for the linear Boltzmann equation describing the stationary neutron distribution in a reactor system is formulated in terms of a non-symmetric bilinear form. The existence and uniqueness of the solution is demonstrated. A family of approximate projectional methods is analyzed and it is shown that the corresponding approximate solutions converge in an appropriate norm to the exact one.
