This paper concerns the function space C(I)\(\epsilon\) E on a compact interval I, where E is a p-Banach space, \(0<p<1\). Using a continuous operator function that is not integrable with respect to the topology of \(L_ p(H)\), the ideal of operators with p-summable approximation numbers on the separable Hilbert space, it is shown that C(I)\(\epsilon\) E is not, in general, an algebra if E is one.
