A Banach space has the lexicographic property if each bounded closed convex subset C is the closed convex hull of the lexicographic maxima of C. The author studies the relation between this property and the Radon- Nikodym and Krein-Milman properties. The author gave an example in \((\ell^ 1)^*\) showing that \(L^ p\) is not KMP.
