In this paper is studied the equation (1) \(u_ t=-u_ x(1+u_ x)+u(\lambda -u)\), \(x\in R\), \(t>0\), with the condition \(u(x,0)=u_ 0(x)\). A solution of \(H_ c(u',u)=0\) where \(H_ c(p,u)=-cp+p(1+p)- u(\lambda -u)\) (the differentiation is with respect to \(\xi =x-ct)\) is a travelling wave solution with speed \(c\neq 0\). A viscosity solution is also defined for (1). The existence of travelling waves with compact support and the existence and uniqueness of a stationary solution (up to translations) within the class of viscosity solutions are proved.
