The authors consider a multidimensional occupancy problem when n balls of d different types are put into m urns. The probability that any ball of type h is put into urn i is given by \(p_{ih}\), where \(p_{1h}+...+p_{mh}=1\). The concept of Poisson randomization is studied. More exactly, distributions of various characteristics, associated with this urn model, are derived in terms of the probabilities of a d-dimensional Poisson random vector with parameters depending on \(\{p_{ih}\}\).
