Soit L un corps cubique réel non galoisien; soit G le groupe des idéaux ''ambiges'' de L (définition analogue au cas cyclique) et G' le sous-groupe des idéaux rationnels. L'auteur caractérise (G:G') (égal à 1,3 ou 9) en fonction de ''l'indice des unités'' classique associé à la clôture galoisienne de L. Numériquement, seules les unités de L sont indispensables pour trouver (G:G').
