Let k be an algebraically closed field, \(F\in k[[x,y]]\) without multiple factors. F defines a simple curve singularity if \(2\leq O(F)\leq 3\) and this holds also for the reduced total transform of every branch of F. Every possible equisingularity class with this property has - up to formal equivalence - only finitely many members; the Auslander-Reiten quiver for the elements of a class is the same as calculated by Dieterich and Wiedemann in characteristic zero. Let R be a reduced curve singularity. Then R has only finitely many indecomposable torsionfree modules if R dominates a simple curve singularity. This generalizes a result of \textit{G.-M. Greuel} and \textit{H. Knörrer} [Math. Ann. 270, 417- 425 (1985; see the preceding review)] who proved this if \(char(k)=0\).
