The dynamic behavior of a cylindrical membrane and a circular membrane rotating on a thin gas film is studied theoretically. It is demonstrated that in some cases a wavy deflection shape of a membrane moves only forwardly at about half of the rotating speed and that the motion is very slowly damped out.
