The asymptotic completeness is the major mathematical problem of the many-body quantum mechanics. In this note the author reports a progress in the solution of this problem. He proves the asymptotic completeness for an explicitly-defined class of potentials with one implicit condition, which is generically satisfied. The dimension of the one-particle space is considered \(\geq 3\). For the dimensions \(\geq 5\) the implicit condition is trivially satisfied so the asymptotic completeness for these dimensions is proved for an explicitly defined (and sufficiently rich, e.g., dense) class of potentials. The proof is sketched. In this sketch those technical tools which could also be useful in other problems are emphasized.
