The qualitative behavior of the system \(\dot x=\partial H(x,y)/\partial y+\epsilon g(x,y,\nu t)\); \(\dot y=\partial H(x,y)/\partial x+\epsilon f(x,y,\nu t)\) is investigated, where g and f are \(2\pi\)-periodic in \(\phi =\nu t\). \(\nu\) is a parameter and \(\epsilon\) is a small positive parameter. The analysis of the truncated system is used to find the possible types of solutions near the individual closed energy surfaces. The main attention is devoted to the resonant case and the existence of new two-frequency resonance modes is indicated. Introducing the detuning factor, the passage from the exact resonant to the nonresonant case is also studied.
