This text is the author's review of his work required in the Steklov Institute of the Soviet Union Academy of Sciences to obtain the Doctor of Sciences degree. His results are a natural continuation of some parts of the work of A. D. Alexandrov and A. V. Pogorelov on convex surfaces. In the bibliography the author quotes his earlier papers (the items [28]- [52]) which cover the results contained in his dissertation.
