\textit{J. A. Gibbs} [J. Algebra 14, 203-228 (1970; Zbl 0191.020)] has proved that the full system of automorphisms of a maximal unipotent subgroup of each of the Chevalley and Steinberg simple groups consists of six types. In this paper the author generalizes the result to the domain of the unipotent radical of parabolic subgroups of \(GL(1+\ell,K)\) and relaxes the restriction of the ground-field K from char \(K\neq 2,3\) to char \(K\neq 2\).
