The authors consider and compare the mathematical structures of two unified field theories. Both theories are geometrical, based on a symmetric and an antisymmetric covariant tensor field of rank two, and they attempt to unify the gravitational and the electromagnetic forces. The two theories are found to possess similar, and sometimes identical, geometrical structures.
