The governing equations have been solved for soliton type solutions in the range \(\delta\in (0,\infty)\). The limiting cases have been considered for \(\delta\) \(\to 0\) and \(\delta\) \(\to \infty\). Two numerical algorithms are proposed for solving the equations for finite \(\delta\). The numerical solution reveals the existence of ''singular'' sections. At this section the deviation of the velocity profile from the standard parabolic is very significant. The integral characteristics of the soliton are comparable with the available results in the literature. The critical value \(\delta =\delta_{**}\) of the onset of boundary layer separation has also been determined. It is noted that the separation does not occur on the rigid wall, but at an interface near the crest of the soliton.
