The author investigates non-resonance for a nonlinear dissipative hyperbolic equation. The conditions which guarantee the solvability of the first initial-boundary value problem for all \(t\in (0,\infty)\) are essentially in the presence of a sufficient dissipative nonlinear term in dimensions less or equal to 6. Under more severe conditions imposed on a nonlinear term the almost periodic case is considered.
