This paper is devoted to the study of a class of topological algebras, called locally convex algebras of kernels. The main result of this paper is: Let E be a locally convex space and A its locally convex algebra of kernels. Then the set of all proper closed 2-sided ideals of A coincides with the set of all closed vector subspaces of ker(h), where h is a continuous algebra morphism of A into \({\mathcal L}_ b(E)\).
