The fundamental result of this paper refers to the geometric theory of Banach spaces and characterizes the extreme points of the unit ball of the weight space \(M^ q_{\omega}\) \((1<q<\infty)\). It is proved that all the extreme points of the space \(M^ q_{\omega}\) are exhausted by \textit{I. Halperin}'s level functions [Can. J. Math. 5, 273-288 (1953; Zbl 0052.113)].
