In the framework of the \(\Gamma\)-convergence theory, the authors study the asymptotic behaviour of integral functionals, where the integrand is non-coercive and has the property of stochastic periodicity. The proof of the homogenization process uses recent results in ergodic theory. The limit functional is not depending on the space variable. Moreover, by the non-coercivity of the functionals, the proof does not use methods related to energy integral convergence.
