    Verff. geben einen neuen einfachen Beweis von \textit{C. Jordans} Satz [J. Math. 1, 35-60 (1895)], daß für eine t-fach transitive Gruppe vom Grad n, verschieden von \(A_ n\) und \(S_ n\), stets \(t\leq c(\log n)^ 2/(\log \log n)\) für ein geeignetes c gilt.
