    A sequence \((\lambda_ n)\) of positive real numbers is called interval filling if \(\lambda_ 1>\lambda_ 2>\lambda_ 3>...\), \(\sum \lambda_ n=L\in {\mathbb{R}}\) and for any \(x\in [0,L]\) there exists a sequence \((\epsilon_ n)\) such that \(\epsilon_ n\in \{0,1\}\) and \(x=\sum \epsilon_ n\lambda_ n\). If \((\lambda_ n)\) is an interval filling sequence, \(\sum \lambda_ n=L\) and a function F: [0,L]\(\to {\mathbb{R}}\) satisfies F(\(\sum \epsilon_ n\lambda_ n)=\sum \epsilon_ nF(\lambda_ n)\) for all sequences \((\epsilon_ n)\), \(\epsilon_ n\in \{0,1\}\), then F is called a completely additive function (with respect to \((\lambda_ n))\). It is shown that those completely additive functions, which are nonnegative or differentiable at a point, are linear functions.
