The algebraic eigenvalue problem \(Ax=\lambda Bx\) is regarded as a system of polynomial equations. Homotopy methods for its solution are studied, and it is shown that n continuous homotopy curves, each leading to a different eigensolution, can be found, provided that the starting approximations are taken from a certain (unknown) dense open set.
