Interval operators F for constructing inclusion monotone interval sequences by iteration methods are discussed. If \(X_ 1\subseteq X_ 0\) and \(X_{k+1}:=F(X_ k),\) \(k=0,1,...\), then for two types of operators - a K- and an N-operator - it can be proved that \(X_{k+1}\subseteq X_ k\) for all k. Also the speed of convergence of the interval sequence will be explored.
