The author introduces, on a complete Brouwerian lattice L, interesting definitions of L-valued fuzzy equivalence relation, L-valued fuzzy function, L-fuzzy partition, and he goes deeply into their links. Noteworthy consequence of this new definition is that L-fuzzy-functions, so defined, assume values in a Boolean subalgebra of the lattice L. Later the author, after introducing the concept of amalgamation, applies the previous results to P(I)-fuzzy functions where P(I) is the complete Boolean algebra power set on a set I. He picks out, also in this case, the fuzzy equivalence relations that are fuzzy partitions. Finally the author delineates a categorical approach to the theory of fuzzy- functions.
