    The authors extend \textit{A. G. Kartsatos'} investigations on the oscillatory properties of ODE's [ibid. 76, 98-106 (1980; Zbl 0443.34032)] to the comparison of the solutions of \(L_ nx(t)+H(t,x(t))=0\) and \(L_ nx(t)+H(t,x(t))=Q(t),\) where n is even and \(L_ 0x(t)=x(t),\) \(L_ kx(t)=a_ k(t)(L_{k-1}x(t));\) \(k=1,2,...,n\).
