Quasi-entropies for finite quantum systems (Q1093858): Difference between revisions

Convexity properties of entropy-like functionals on states of a finite dimensional algebra are discussed. The treatment covers both the quantum mechanical and the classical cases. The purpose is to recapture Lieb's convexity theorem using the Jensen inequality of operator convex functions. Most results are generalized to arbitrary von Neumann algebras in another paper of the author [Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 21, 787-800 (1985; Zbl 0606.46039)].
