Earlier the first author showed that a finite \(C_ n\) geometry \((n>4)\) in which all lines are thick and all \(C_ 3\) residues are either buildings or flat has to be a building. In this article the authors observed that the finiteness assumption had been unnecessary in order to achieve the major part of the result. They dropped the finiteness assumption and proved that such a geometry is either a quotient of a building or flat. They produce some examples of geometries of this type too.
