A linear integro-partial differential equation is used to model the dispersion of air pollutants from a point source under the assumption that the pollutants are absorbed by rain droplets. The equation is studied analytically (by transform methods) and numerically. A comparison of the effects due to delayed and instantaneous absorption rates is made.
