Two links are said to be link-homologous if their linking matrices coincide. The authors introduce a certain move, a \(\Delta\)-unknotting operation, and prove that two links are link-homologous if and only if they can be deformed into each other by a finite sequence of \(\Delta\)- unknotting operations.
