The paper deals with the problem of linear stability of longitudinal waves in a partially ionized plasma. The one-term BGK collision is added to the Vlasov equation. F(v) is taken as a superposition of two Maxwellians. It is shown that depending on the collision frequency, the plasma is stabilized by the binary collisions. Numerical experiments confirm theoretical predictions.
