The propagation of weakly dispersive tsunami waves is modelled using a solution of the two-dimensional governing equation in a limited domain. For the open lateral boundaries the radiational open boundary conditions (OBC) are derived by reducing the time derivative order of the governing equation. The OBC is a modification of the Sommerfeld condition. The numerical method is a finite difference scheme. The numerical results indicate that the model faithfully reproduces the weak dispersion effects but not the effects of bottom topography.
