The main result in the paper is the following Main Theorem. Let \(\Omega\) be a bounded domain of holomorphy in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\) and g be the canonical complete Kähler-Einstein metric on \(\Omega\) (unique up to a scalar constant). Suppose b is a point of \(\partial \Omega\) such that for some open neighborhood U of b in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\), \(\Omega\) \(\cap U\) is of finite volume with respect to g. Then U-\(\Omega\) is a complex-analytic subvariety of U of pure codimension 1.
