Existence and uniqueness of the nontrivial convex solution of the equations of Monge-Ampère type det \(u_{x_ ix_ j}=(-u)^ p\) in \(B=\{| x| <R\}\subset {\mathbb{R}}^ n\), \(u=0\) on the boundary of B is proved when \(0<p<n\). This solution is radially symmetric. For \(p>n\) the problem has a unique nontrivial radially symmetric solution which proves to be a convex one.
