    Si \(R\) est un anneau de la forme \(A+M\), où \(M\) est un idéal du \(R\) et \(A\) un sous anneau isomorphe au quotient \(R/M\) on peut définir un sous anneau \(S\) de \(R\) en se donnant un sous \(A\)-module \(N\) de \(M\) tel que \(N^2\subset N\) et en posant \(S=A+N\). On compare les ouverts \(D(M)\) de \(\operatorname{Spec}(R)\) et \(D(N)\) de \(\operatorname{Spec}(S)\), on donne tour à tour des conditions pour que respectivement: (a) Les idéaux premiers de \(D(N)\) se relèvent de façon unique dans \(D(M)\); (b) Les ouverts \(D(N)\) et \(D(M)\) soient homéomorphes; (c) Les spectres de \(S\) et de \(R\) soient homéomorphes. Tout en illustrant par des exemples.
