The authors consider the ovals in PG(2,q), \(q=2^ e\), e odd, introduced by the second author [Congr. Numerantium 49, 115-128 (1985; Zbl 0632.51011)], and show that they have a cyclic collineation group of order 2e. For the case \(q=32\) the proof is sophisticated and requires also the assistance of a computer.
