The convergence rate in the \(H^ 1\)-norm for the approximation by sinc functions of a function and its derivatives on an arc in the complex plane is estimated generalizing some earlier results. The approximation of the solution of a Dirichlet linear two-point boundary value problem defined on an arc is studied.
