The method of potentials for translating classical boundary value problems for elliptic equations into Fredholm integral equations presents a traditional grave difficulty: every solution of integral equations furnishes a solution of the problem, but we cannot say that every solution of this problem follows necessarily from a solution of integral equations [see, f.i., \textit{C. Miranda}, Partial differential equations of elliptic type (1970; Zbl 0198.141), p. 55-56]. Particular equivalent integral equations are obtained (in classical problems) using, f.i., Giraud's principal fundamental solution. In a previous paper of the author, by an elementary remark, the traditional difficulty is removed [Rend. Mat. Appl., VII. Ser. 6, No.3, 423-433 (1986)]. In this paper, our remark suggests a simple treatment (without singular integrals) of regular oblique derivative elliptic problems in \({\mathbb{R}}^ m\) (and non regular for \(m=2)\).
