The decomposition method of G. Adomian is applied by the author to the inhomogeneous wave equation \(K\Delta u-\partial^ 2u/\partial t^ 2=f(x,y,z,t)\). As an example the two-dimensional homogeneous wave equation \(u_{xx}-u_{tt}=0\) with the conditions \(u(0,t)=t^ 2\), \(u(x,0)=x^ 2\), \(u_ x(0,t)=0\), \(u_ t(x,0)=0\) is considered.
