    Soit l'équation aux dérivées partielles du quatrième ordre: \(\frac{\partial^ 2u}{dt^ 2}+\mu \frac{\partial^ 4u}{\partial x^ 4}=f(x,t)\) avec \(\mu >0\), \(x_ 0<x<x_ 1\), \(t>0\). L'A. réduit cette equation en un système d'équations différentielles du second ordre non homogènes qu'il résout en utilisant des approximations de Padé. Un exemple numérique est donné.
