The two-velocity models are the oldest, simplest, but not completely physical (they violate momentum conservation law) discrete Boltzmann models. Due to their simplicity two physical properties: positivity and H-theorem are easily checked for simple solutions. However in the literature for these models, some published papers consider the Boltzmann equation like any solitonic nonlinear equation without any physical meaning. First, contrary to what has been written in the literature, the Ruijgrook-Wu model does not violate automatically the H-Theorem. For simple solutions it is shown that positivity and H-Theorem require some conditions on the parameters of the model. The same constraints were assumed by the authors of this model. Up to now, no explicit solution violating the H-Theorem is known. Second, the Illner model with or without linear terms has often been studied in the literature. For simple solutions, published in the literature, it is shown that positivity can be sometimes violated.
