The authors introduce a kind of fixed point index, and use the same to show that A has at least three positive fixed points in \(\bar P_ c\) if A: \(\bar P_ c\to E\) is weakly inward and completely continuous and satisfies some additional conditions, wherein E is a real Banach space, P a cone in E and, for \(r>0\), \(P_ r=\{x\in E:\) \(Vert x\| <r,\) \(x\in P\}\).
