The author compares the weighted diaphony as introduced by \textit{P. Zinterhof} [Österr. Akad. Wiss. Math. Nat. Kl., S.-Ber, Abt. II 185, 121-132 (1976; Zbl 0356.65007)], the weighted \(L^ 2\)-discrepancy, and the weighted \(L^{\infty}\)-discrepancy of distributions of N points in \(Q^ s=[0,1)^ s\). Symmetric distributions are especially considered. The remainder term in numerical integration is estimated by the weighted diaphony.
