A method used by \textit{A Kriegl}, \textit{P.Michor} and \textit{W. Schachermayer} [Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 7, 85-92 (1989; Zbl 0691.58020)] is generalized in order to study the question whether each non-zero homomorphism on the algebra \(C^{\infty}(E)\) of \(C^{\infty}\)-functions on a real locally convex space E is a point evaluation. An affirmative answer to this question is given when E is any closed subspace of an arbitrary product of \(C^{\infty}\)-smooth separable metrizable locally convex spaces. Examples of such spaces E are all complete semi-weak (e.g. all complete Schwartz spaces) as well as complete separable hilbertisable ones.
