Global stability analysis of the Runge-Kutta methods for Volterra integral and integro-differential equations with degenerate kernels (Q758175): Difference between revisions

The authors study the stability of Runge-Kutta methods for Volterra integral equations \(y(t)=g(t)+\int^{t}_{0}\sum^{r}_{p=1}a_ p(t)b_ p(s)y(s)ds,\quad t\geq 0\) and for the initial-value problem of Volterra integro-differential equations of the form \(y'(t)=g(t)+q(t)y(t)+\int^{t}_{0}\sum^{r}_{p=1}a_{p(t)}b_{p(s) }y(s)ds,\quad t\geq 0,\) \(y(0)=y_ 0.\) These results are generalizations of those ones obtained for exact collocation methods.
