The authors prove that if \(X\subset M\) is a Markov minimal set of a closed, connected, foliated m-manifold (M,\({\mathcal F})\) with 2-dimensional leaves, then M admits a Riemannian metric such that each leaf of \({\mathcal F}|_ X\) is a surface of constant curvature -1.
