A simple algorithm is described for the solution of boundary value problems. It is based on the method of lines, and the derived ordinary differential equations are solved by marching techniques with matching of solutions at fixed points as in shooting methods. It is successfully applied to the study of the incompressible flow inside a circular pipe with diverging cross-section. The numerical results are compared with the known analytical solution. Many advantages are noted and one of them is the capability of utilizing parallel processing.
