Let \(\Omega\subset\mathbb C^n\) be a bounded pseudoconvex domain. We say that \(\xi\in\partial\Omega\) is a good boundary point, if there exists a strong plurisubharmonic barrier \(u\) at \(\xi\) and a sequence \((u_j)_{j=1}^\infty\) of plurisubharmonic functions defined on neighborhoods of \(\overline\Omega\) such that \(u^\ast(z)=\lim_{j\to\infty}u_j(z)\), \(z\in\overline\varOmega\). The main result of the paper is the following. Let \(U\) be a neighborhood of \(\overline\varOmega\) and \(A\) be a finite union of complex hyperplanes passing trough \(0\in\varOmega\). Then, the pluricomplex Green function \(G_{A,\varOmega}\) is continuous on \(\varOmega\), provided the following conditions hold: (i) \(\overline\varOmega\) is holomorphically convex in U and \(\varOmega\) is fat. (ii) There exists \(\alpha<1\) and a relatively open subset \(V\subset A\cap\partial\varOmega\) such that \(tV\subset\subset\varOmega\), \(\alpha<t<1\). (iii) Every \(\xi\in\partial\varOmega\setminus V\) is a good boundary point. The author presents some families of pairs \((\varOmega,A)\) for which the above assumptions hold, and therefore proves the continuity of the Green function in their case. In the last section the author presents two examples of using the methods from the proof of the main theorem to derive explicit formula for the Green function and to study its boundary behaviour.
