Construction of Rayleigh quasimodes with a large life time (Q2495365): Difference between revisions

The author considers the two dimensional Neumann problem for a linear elasticity system in the exterior of a convex body, whose boundary is close enough to a circle and analytic in a wide enough complex band. He extends to this case the construction of quasimodes associated to the two sequences of Rayleigh resonances, as far as possible from the obstacle. The exponential decay of these quasimodes is studied with respect to the geometry of the obstacle.
