A new method for finding the projection onto the intersection of two closed convex sets in a Hilbert space is presented. This new algorithm is a modification of the Averaged Alternating Reflections (AAR) scheme introduced by the authors in [J. Approx. Theory 127, No. 2, 178--192 (2004; Zbl 1050.46021)] which produces a strongly convergent sequence.
