The author is concerned in this paper with the proof of several existence and uniqueness results for nonlinear elliptic equations with lower order terms, \(L^1\) data, convection terms, and mixed boundary conditions that include as particular cases the Dirichlet and the Neumann problems. Such models appear in the study of transient solutions for the conduction-radiation problems or in other applied fields. One of the main results establishes that the distributional solutions constructed in the present paper are, in fact, renormalized solutions. The proofs combine adequate methods based on elliptic estimates and approximating techniques in \(L^1\).
